Using its FRANCEGEL establishment, NORFRIGO operates the largest ice manufacturer of France, with a production capacity of 40,000 tonnes of scale ice, which serves the entire fishing sector of the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer: supplying the fishing sector with direct deliveries to the boats, fish traders, retailers, superstores, fishmongers and carriers.

Furthermore, over the last few years, thanks to its strategic location at the heart of the port area and nearby location of many carriers, FRANCEGEL provides daily deliveries of 20 kg ice bags to many mass distribution chains.

Given that they are stored at negative temperatures, these ice bags can easily be kept for between 48 and 72 hours.

The scale ice produced by FRANCEGEL also has alternative uses, such as the cooling requirements of industrial bakeries or pharmaceutical businesses, the installation of ski and tobogganing slopes as well as backup deliveries to other sites such as the Rungis market.
