NORFRIGO is a family-owned business that was founded in 1965 out of the conviction of the ship owners of the Boulonnais region that the future of the fishing sector would depend on deep freeze refrigeration. Norfrigo’s corporate aim is to operate refrigerated warehouses, for the storage of frozen products and the production of regular ice (scale ice).
Since its origins, thanks to its FRANCEGEL establishment, NORFRIGO also operates as the largest ice maker in France (20,000 tons per year) and serves the entire fishing industry at the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer which supports the fishing boats, cooperatives, fish traders, retailers, fishmongers, superstores and carriers amongst others.
To further enhance the value proposition under one roof, effective 1st December 2015 NORFRIGO and STEF have joined forces and executed a joint venture that brings not just the best of deep freeze refrigeration warehousing but also all aspects of top-end logistics in Boulogne- sur-Mer, to its clients. This JV provides the expertise of a large group with the proximity and flexibility of a family business to create a world-class operation.
